The program covers a variety of knowledge in relation to automotive industry, including the introduction of legislative requirements of vehicle maintenance workshops, occupational safety and health requirements related to maintenance, technology and latest development of vehicle maintenance, technology of electric vehicles and new energy vehicles, etc.

Target participants

Vehicle Mechanics, Person-in-charge of vehicle Maintance workshop, or holders of Hong Kong qualification framework (QF) level 2 in automotive engineering.

The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and The Institute of The Motor Industry Hong Kong organize a series of webinars with programmes covering various functional systems of different vehicle types.  They are tailor-made for existing and potential Vehicle Maintenance Mechanics to refresh and recognize the latest technology and service technique, so as to develop a concrete foundation for further exploring, learning and experiencing the new/upcoming knowledge in the motor industry.

The programme covers variety of knowledge in relation to automotive trade including Electric Vehicle. Participants are free to enroll in all sessions or selected sessions subject to personal interests and needs.

After completion of all the topics in this programme, participants are expected to refresh or secure the existing knowledge level in automotive technology and master the basic diagnostic techniques for facilitating efficient and effective maintenance work, and are capable to learn new technology for keeping abreast with future development and changes.  A 3-hour continuing Professional Development certificate (electronic form) will be issued to whom has successfully completed the requirement of designated webinar.
